Who it's for / where it goes

This two-head security light is for an outdoor area where motion-triggered lighting and separately adjustable heads suit the approach route. It is hardwired, so the mounting position must work for the available supply as well as the areas you want the heads to illuminate.

Check before you buy
  • Size and fit. Exact dimensions not published; ask us. Sketch the door or approach path and note the existing wiring point. Ask for the housing dimensions and required mounting height before choosing a location. The stated motion angle describes detection, not the combined light pattern or permission to install beside any obstruction. Ask about size and fit.
  • Brightness. About as much light as 3 ordinary 60-watt household bulbs (2,500 lumens; an old 60-watt bulb gives about 800).
  • Power and installation. Hardwired. Needs a fixed connection to the building wiring. Electrical rating: 25 W. Supply: 100-240 V AC.
  • Location. Outdoor use.
  • Controls. Motion sensor, 180° and up to 39 ft. Dimmer compatibility not published; ask us. Sensor: PIR motion sensor, 180°, up to 39 ft; on time 3 s to 7 min. Ask about controls.

Questions buyers ask

Can a security light have both motion and dusk-to-dawn control?

Z-S-2500-BZ publishes a motion sensor with an adjustable on time. An all-night dusk-to-dawn mode is not published here, so ask if that is a requirement. Compare it with models that explicitly list a photocell or combined modes rather than assuming every security light switches the same way. Full guide: Dusk-to-dawn vs motion lights.

Does motion range tell me how far the light reaches?

For this bronze two-head model, the published motion angle and adjustable on time describe detection and switching. The lumen figure describes total light output; none of those values provides a coverage map. Ask about the recommended mounting arrangement and beam distribution for your approach path. A wider motion angle does not necessarily put useful light behind an obstruction or onto every surface where movement is detected. Full guide: Dusk-to-dawn vs motion lights.

Is a flood light the same as a security light?

Z-S-2500-BZ combines two adjustable light heads with motion switching, so both the aiming arrangement and the response to activity matter. The security label alone would not establish those controls on another product. Choose this model around the published motion behaviour and compare photocell models if you need ambient-light switching instead. Also confirm dimming support before planning a dimmer: it is not published for this exact model here. Full guide: Choosing an outdoor security light.
