Wire nuts by colour
- Tan: P12C 22–8 AWG (UL 486C).
- Red: P13 22–8 AWG (UL 486C); P6 22–10 AWG (UL 486C).
- Yellow: P11V 18–10 AWG (UL 486C).
- Orange: P3 22–14 AWG (UL 486C).
- Blue: P2 22–14 AWG (UL 486C).
- Green: P99 14–10 AWG (UL 467, pigtail hole).
Blue wire nuts: Zone’s blue is the P2, a compact, low-profile cap for 22–14 AWG. It is not a large-gauge cap; for wire up to 8 AWG, see the tan P12C and the red P13.
Green grounding wire nut with hole: the P99 is listed to UL 467 (grounding and bonding equipment), 14–10 AWG, with a hole for a pigtail.
