Who it's for / where it goes

The under-cabinet kit is for a home counter layout with one longer section and two shorter sections to light. Its three bars, hand-wave switching and five colour temperatures give you a starting set, but the actual cabinet divisions determine whether those lengths fit your kitchen.

Check before you buy
  • Size and fit. Published size: 24 in + 18 in + 18 in. Draw each cabinet section and mark the gaps between them before choosing the kit. The published bar lengths are not the full assembled run with connectors. Ask what connecting leads, power equipment and mounting pieces are included, plus the clearances needed at the ends of each bar.
  • Brightness. Delivered lumens not published. Ask about brightness.
  • Power and installation. Connection not published. Ask how this under-cabinet light connects to power and which controls and linking parts it uses. Ask about power and installation.
  • Location. Location rating not published. Ask about location.
  • Controls. Wave a hand to switch it on. Five colour temperatures. Dimmer compatibility not published; ask us. Ask about controls.

Questions buyers ask

How do I light a gap between cabinet runs?

Start with the kit’s one twenty-four-inch bar and two eighteen-inch bars on your sketch, then measure each gap separately. Request the approved connecting parts and the kit’s own linking limit. Do not borrow the wattage limit or transformer specification from the separately sold hand-wave bar just because the controls look similar. Full guide: Under-cabinet lighting.

Is a motion sensor the same as hand-wave control?

The kit’s feature list says to wave a hand to switch it on. That describes a deliberate action near the light, not a published whole-room occupancy sensor. Ask where the control sits within the three-bar arrangement and how it operates the other bars. A detailed detection range and full control specification are not published for the kit, so the separate hand-wave bar’s sensor range must not be treated as kit data. Full guide: Under-cabinet lighting.

Can a dimmable bar use any wall dimmer?

Dimming support is not published for Z-UCL-60 KIT. Five colour temperatures and hand-wave switching do not by themselves establish dimming or wall-switch compatibility. Ask for the kit’s control instructions, power setup and approved linking arrangements before choosing a dimmer. If you want the bars to replace a dimmed permanent installation, resolve that requirement first rather than assuming the kit inherits the features of a separately sold bar.
