Who it's for / where it goes

The BR30 grow bulb is for an indoor garden where a reflector-style bulb can be accommodated by an appropriate E26 fixture. It belongs with the grow bulbs, so select it around the plants and the lamp opening rather than treating its shape as a general-purpose room-light recommendation.

Check before you buy
  • Size and fit. Exact dimensions not published; ask us. Check the shade or reflector opening as well as the E26 socket. BR30 is a shape designation, not a full set of product dimensions. Ask for the exact width, height and required clearance before replacing a narrower bulb or planning a lamp close to shelving. Ask about size and fit.
  • Brightness. Grow spectrum; household-bulb equivalents do not measure plant coverage.
  • Power and installation. E26 socket (screw-in). Check the socket, fixture limits and clearance before screwing it in. Electrical rating: 9 W. Supply: 120 V AC, 50/60 Hz.
  • Location. Damp locations.
  • Controls. Dimming: No.

Questions buyers ask

Can an A19 and a BR30 use the same socket?

Z-GR-BR30-3S uses E26, as does the A19 grow option, but a matching base does not make their bodies interchangeable in a shade. Compare the opening and available height separately. This BR30 record does not publish a beam angle or shelf coverage, so neither can be assumed from the reflector shape. Full guide: Will this bulb fit?.

Is BR30 or PAR38 better for indoor plants?

Z-GR-BR30-3S and the PAR38 grow bulb publish different electrical wattages, but neither record provides a coverage map here. The BR30 can only be the better fit if its body and light distribution suit your fixture and plants. Ask for exact dimensions and plant-light data, then compare them with the intended shelf. Do not select the PAR38 solely because its watt number is larger or the BR30 solely because the socket matches. Full guide: Grow light bulbs, strips or fixtures.

How close should the light be to my plants?

The BR30 shape does not supply a recommended distance to foliage. For this model, measure the fixture position and the nearest leaves, allowing for future growth, and request placement guidance. A reflector format can change distribution, but no beam angle or plant footprint is published here. The damp-location rating is a separate exposure condition, and the non-dimmable specification means a household dimmer is not the fallback for a poorly chosen position.
