The four-foot grow strip is for indoor gardeners planning a straight run over plants or along shelving. It is an integrated, plug-in light that links end to end, making the shelf length, outlet position and permitted number of linked lights the first layout checks.

Check before you buy
  • Size and fit. Published size: 4 ft. Measure the shelf run and allow space for the light, connectors and plant growth below it. The nominal four-foot length is not a plant coverage measurement. Ask for the full fixture profile and mounting requirements if shelves are closely spaced or the light must fit between uprights.
  • Brightness. Grow spectrum; household-bulb equivalents do not measure plant coverage.
  • Power and installation. Plug-in. Needs a reachable suitable outlet and a safe cord route. Cord: 5 ft, 18/3 SVT. Supply: 120 V AC, 60 Hz.
  • Location. Indoor use only.
  • Controls. Dimming: No, not for use with dimmers. Linking: Yes, up to 4 lights on one string.

Can I link every Zone grow light together?

Z-XP-GSH4 publishes a limit of four lights on one string. Keep that limit with this model and check the specified connections; it does not authorize mixing it with flexible grow tape. Are grow strips good under plant shelves?

The rigid four-foot format of Z-XP-GSH4 can be considered for a straight shelf run with space for the complete fixture and its connections. It is not the same form as flexible adhesive grow tape. Measure the shelf between uprights and allow room for growing leaves, then request the full profile and mounting requirements. Can I run the light all day and night?

This grow strip does not publish a built-in timer or a plant-specific schedule. Its plug-in supply and linking limit describe the electrical setup, not the number of hours a crop needs. Ask for guidance with the plant type and shelf arrangement, and confirm compatibility before adding an external timer.
